Zesty Ranch Grilled Salmon Recipe – Salmon Cooking

If you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary for a grilled salmon recipe, yet something that is still very easy and relatively fast to prepare, then this may be a good one for you to try- Zesty Grilled Salmon! This is a ranch dressing-based recipe that gives fish an irresistible flavor. You can use this recipe for any kind of fish, but it works especially well on all five species of Alaska Pacific salmon.

This recipe will serve 2 to 4 people per salmon fillet, depending on the size of your fillets, and all you need besides the fish is the following:

  • Salmon fillets of your choice
  • ¼ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Step 1 – Combine all ingredients together in a small bowl and brush heavily on your fillets.

Step 2 – While the zesty ranch sauce is marinating into your fish fillets, get your grill fired up. I personally prefer and highly recommend grilling over charcoal for added flavor, but a gas grill will work as well. Grill your fillets to medium or your preferred level of doneness over low to medium heat. You want your fish to be flakey on the outside and moist in the middle, so be careful not to overcook it and dry it out. Brush the salmon a few more times with the ranch sauce while its cooking, and then serve it up with wides of your choice.
