Photo of the Month – Buskin River Autumn Colors

Beautiful fall colors along the Buskin River. Kodiak Island Alaska. Joseph Classen.

This image is one of my favorite autumn photographs taken on Kodiak Island, Alaska. It’s a good mix and example of the color pallet of the area during the fall. The primary species of trees on the island are Sitka spruce, cottonwood, and alder. When mixed together, along with a beautiful blue sky and a reflective body of water, the results have the makings of a classic landscape composition.

As with all images featured in the Photo of the Month blog, a large sized print (16 x 24 for this image) is available in any style at a 25% discount…but only during the month it is featured…so act now if you’d like one!
