Here’s another of my favorite wild game recipes that I thought I’d share with all of you: cheese stuffed venison meatballs! These go great in a traditional spaghetti and meatballs dish, they’re fantastic for making meatball sandwiches, or you can simply serve them by themselves for a delicious, flavorful, protein-packed appetizer! Let’s get cooking!

Cheese Stuffed Venison Meatballs

Serving Size: 4-6


  • 2 lbs ground venison
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1teaspoon oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheese of choice

How to Prepare

Step #1

-Harvest some venison.

Step #2

– Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.

Step #3

– Cut cheese into small cubes and stuff inside meatballs.

Step #4

– Brown in a frying pan with olive oil.

Step #5

– Bake in oven for 15 mins at 400 degrees.

Step #6

-Serve and enjoy!
